British Bulldog

All players stand behind one line and one player stands behind the other line and is the catcher. The catcher calls out “British Bulldog” to start the game. All players try to run behind the other line. The catcher tries to catch someone on the run by holding someone down, lifting them up and shouting “British Bulldog 1 2 3”. If he/she succeeds, the captured player becomes the catcher too. The players and the catchers have now switched sides. The catchers call again at the beginning of the new round: “British Bulldog”. This continues until all the players are caught.

Note: Even large and heavy people can be caught by having several catchers join together and lift one person.
